A: Jet black, no head at all, obv thus no lacing. 3.5
S: Aroma is big chocolate, roasted malt, moderate coconut and rye whiskey spiciness. 4
T: Taste is roasty, herbaceous, molasses sweetness, some dark fruits, and a huge semi sweet bakers chocolate on the finish that lingers for a long time. Whiskey characters are fairly strong with lots of oaky characters. Almost no coconut, wouldn’t even know it was adjuncted with it if the label didn’t say, big still good. 4.25
M/D: Full bodied, very low almost no
carbonation which is a negative. ABV is a huge 15% but it’s masked well. Drinkability pretty decent all things considered. 4
O: Good beer, but nothing super special. As seems to be the case with most of the CCB El Cat offerings. 4
