From backlog:

Thanks to Todd for squirreling away a little taste of this for me. Nice stuff.

A - It has the evil appearance that you'd expect from Zhukov: black, ominous, menacing, like a vat of crude. It has not so much head, but huge legs.

S - The nose is a bit hot and sweet, due to a seeming saturation of booze. I really like the notes of the whiskey, but it is dialed up a bit too much for me. Underlying is the brutally roasty Zhukov nose, which is enhanced by the saccharine vanilla and oak notes. All in all, the two extremes serve to balance one another.

T - The flavor is much less boozy, and does not drink 'hot' at all. The melding of the sweet whiskey's apple-vanilla-oak notes with Zhukov's scorched earth (Masterski), creates a very well-integrated impression reminiscent of decadent liqueurdrinks and candy cordials. Chocolate and cherry notes, and licorice are there too. Good stuff. A little more time and this will likely be great stuff.

M - Huge viscosity, mouth-coating.

D - CCB -bals are way drinkable, no exception here.

Cheers to Joey for breaking out this one and bringing it to the drink local PourHouse event. Great brew for a great bar.

A: Pours uber black, evil, with no light penetration. Very small head with little retention. No lace but this one coats the glass like no other.

S: Bold roasted malt with hints of coffee and chocolate. The barrel is rather bold. Lots of oak, vanilla, coconut, and booooze.

T: Boozy Zhukov goodness. The barrel imparts tons of whiskey goodness with strong notes of oak and vanilla. The wonderful zhukov undertones are there but the barrel really stands out on this one.

M: Very full in body, bold, rich, smooth, bad ass.

D: Very nice to sit down and sip on for a bit. I knew this was a one off so I drank it until I was drunk. Really tasty beer. Grab some of the Palm Ridge Reserve Whiskey if you can find it as well.
