Jai Alai Hazy

It is hazy and it is dark amber, as it sits in a clear glass liter mug. What lies within are the erstwhile contents of two twelve ounce cans. Its head is off-white and properly sized. Not pungent, there is a soft tropical fruit aspect to what aroma is there. There's enough hops and starch base to make this work. Of course, it's not a bitter hopfest, few hazies are and that would defeat the purpose. But, even without the barley inclusion so evident in the original (and excellent) Jai Alai, there's plenty of backbone. There's also enough bite in the earthy hopping to satisfy IPA lovers that seek it. Bonus points can't be awarded for glass lacing. Overall, this is another very good offering from a very good brewery that seems to be adding more and more excellent brews to its resume.

 

 

 

 

Poured from a 12 oz can 11/03/2022 into a Willi Becher pint glass.
L - Pours a hazy orange color with a fluffy white head that dissipates slowly.
S - Smells of oranges.
T - Nicely bitter with some orange and grapefruit.
F - Medium body and carbonation.
O - Nice hazy IPA. Not really better than regular Jai Alai though, but really good.

Look - golden in color and a little hazy
Smell - citrus, tropical, hop dankness
Taste - tropical citrus, hoppy dank bitterness, juicy
Feel - medium mouthfeel, good carbonation. Has a good tropical & citrus flavor with a bit of hoppy dankness & sweetness at the end.
Overall - Solid brew. I bought the Jai Alai Mix 12 Pack so I could try this one. Another good brew from Cigar City. Pairs well with Take a Chance on Me by ABBA.
