Talos, the bronze protector of Crete, lends his name to this Imperial Stout that's been aged for an epic period of time in spiced rum barrels. May its beguiling flavor circle your palate the same way Talos circled his island.

Cigar City El Catador Club XV ‘Talos’ - spiced-rum barrel-aged Imperial Stout, Bottle #258.
Poured into a Cigar City Brewing taster’s glass at 53°. The bottle was filled completely to the top, no airspace under the cap.
Presents flat black, some fine bubbles form randomly around the rim. No lacing.
14% ABV, 21 IBU.
Aroma is, indeed, boozy spiced rum, followed by molasses, dark chocolate.
Taste leads with chocolate fudge, oatmeal raisin cookie, black strap molasses and a distant hit of spicy nutmeg. It is very thick, yet not cloyingly sweet. The rum barreling condenses all of the flavors into a mouth wateringly dry finish that lingers, boosted along by a great alcohol punch.
Feel is thick, viscous, low carbonation.
Overall, a Master Class in the art of barreling a fantastic Stout.
