Poured into a Cigar City taster’s glass. Darkness prevails. Pretty foam leaves small lace.
Aroma of dark malt, chocolate, spice and oaky char.
Tastes nice - there’s bitter baker’s chocolate, spices, a hint of dark molasses, rye bread, smokiness. It’s not a sweet beer.
Feel is correct for the style.
Overall, there’s a playfulness with this 12.4% ABV beer. It’s traditional, yet messed with. Love it.,.
