Barbe Rouge, El Dorado and Cashmere hops were selected to impart flavors of juicy red berries lending a distinct strawberry acidity and a lingering red grapefruit bitterness. These flavors paired with wheat are reminiscent of berry jam on toast.

Copenhagen 2/6 2024. 35,5 cl can from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Purple can with a pattern raspberries in pink.

Pours opaque unclear orange with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin patch of foam floating in the middle of the glass. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet odor of ripe berries mingling with a sharp citric zest. Sweet raspberries, ripe peach. A bit sugary. Orange and grapefruit in the background.

Medium strong carbonation- Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is intense with a strong and sugary sweetness followed by a medium strong rough bitterness. Aftertaste is surprisingly bitter. Aftertaste is bitter with a sugary undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.

A quite strange jam.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of berries. Taste is strawberry, wheat, a touch of grapefruit. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

12 oz can poured into a wine glass. This is an interesting beer, if it indeed has no added fruit. There's a surprising amount of bitterness from the hops, but once your palate adjusts, it does indeed come across with a strong strawberry jam flavor. Some raspberry, too, with moderate acidity. Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated and prickly. Overall, an intriguing and fairly tasty (non-fruited?) kettle sour!

Another solid offering from CC...

Decent looking beer, not spectacular but decent, the smell however, was special. The smell reminds you of strawberry jam, a very strong scent of strawberry jam. Mouthfeel is light and crisp, but well carbonated, and the taste has a hint of that sweet strawberry taste. Overall, it's solid, though not one of their best...

This beer pours a slightly hazy strawberry/blond color. The head is of moderate size and white in color. Head retention is fair. The aroma is very unusual. I detect the smell of wheat and something a bit pungent. It has a very artificial sweet "strawberry jam" taste.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color straw gold, hazy, off white head presents 1+ finger thick, head dissipates to thin top with a ring on the glass sides, spotty lacing.

Smell is acidic berries, no so much strawberry but more wild/earthy berry, some lighter earthy notes, light toast/wheat.

Taste is more berry forward flavor - really wild as its not an adjunct flavoring - earthy acidic berry quality, some wheat and light toast.

Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness, lingering acidic bite.

Overall a very unique brew - hoping aroma/flavor is similar to description with berry like aroma/flavor/presence, but leaves an acidic quality throughout.

If your getting straight up strawberry I question you palate. It does have an essence of red berries but the bitterness reminds me more of a grapefruit or loganberry. While I appreciate IPA's and dry hopped beers this one is just to strange for me kind of like La Croix water your basically tricking yourself into tasting anything. Give it a try though you might enjoy it more than I did.

Tasted from a 12 oz can bought in Florida.

L - Medium straw color and slightly hazy. Strong, fluffy white head.

S - Delicious aroma of dark wild berries maybe some strawberry. According to the description on the can, there is no added fruit and this is all from the hop addition, which is stunning to me. Low, grainy wheat in the background.

T - More dark berries, strawberries and a hint of citrus. Wheat cracker in the finish. Flavors are all clean and crisp.

F - Medium body ending in a slightly sweet finish. Moderate carbonation. Low hops bitterness. No real alcohol presence.

O - This is a nice, light-bodied wheat beer with a huge hit of berries in the nose and palate. As a fruity-forward wheat beer I was expecting a light summer refresher, but this is a bit too sweet to be truly refreshing in the summer heat. Nevertheless, it's an amazing accomplishment in using non-traditional hops in a unique way.

Hazy orange-yellow, big white head, good retention, rings of lace
Huge berry aroma! Almost like a packet of berry and cherry fruit snacks. I get mainly strawberry and raspberry. A little bit of orange as well.
Strawberry, honey wheat bread, a little bit of ruby red grapefruit flavor
Medium light bodied and appropriately carbonated
Berries and beer isn't really my thing, so wouldn't get again, but they definitely hit the bullseye on their target.
