Aromas of earthy/oaky woodiness; some dark fruitiness (mainly raisins) with lesser hints of bourbon as this comes to room temperature.
The tastes begin with an explosion of glorious brown sugar, caramel, mild bourbon/oak, figs/dates; so much more prevalent than indicated in the aroma. What an expected flavor explosion compared to the muted nose. As it warms it becomes overwhelmingly woody, with hints of iodine that I don't appreciate, but it's not at all unpleasant unless you are adverse to that characteristic of many booze barrel aged beer. A fan of any JW Lees beers would really enjoy this; not my favorite flavor to be honest.

Rattle N Hum, Cigar City smokes NYC event. Brown coloured body with no head or noticeable lace. bourbon taste, bourbon aroma, sugar, very sweet. Average mouthfeel. Not very complex malting, just cloying sweet. Good drinkability though not bang on the style.
