Appearance: Arrives pitch black with no head; leggy
Smell: Strong chocolate aromatics with a barrel tone that I am having a hard time pinning down; a hint of serrano pepper
Taste: Chocolate forward with an unusual barrel flavor emerging; the brewery doesn't identify the barrel used but it doesn't taste like Bourbon; serrano heat emerges in the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low carbonation; warmth in the gullet
Overall: I don't pick up any coconut but there is a candy bar sweetness here; not something I am really enjoying
