Picked up a 500 ml bottle from the Cigar City brewpub in Tampa on 1-30-24 for $18.99. Bottled i think in November 2023, consumed 7-1-25.
Beer poured dark brown with a pretty good off-white head.
Nose is really nice as the maple leapt out of the bottle open opening. Getting notes of dark fruits and caramelized malts.
Taste is a caramelized malt base that gives me a lot of toffee and caramel. Brandy barrels bring in raisins and prunes while the maple brings an ever so light touch of sweetness. Finish is fairly clean for the barrels used, not overly sweet.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall, this one is clearly the winner of the 3 Family Reunion barleywines!

Lucked out with a friend who could get this and deliver it across the state. This is amazing. Pours black with no lacing, maple and apple with rum bbl give a great taste as well as a mouth watering gentle massaging my nose. One of my higher rated brews from a great brewery. Super happy she got TWO for me.
