Inky black body, opaque; thin ring of foam inside the glass, khaki. Rich, dark malts, roasted with a slight char edge; spicy edge; snicker doodles and apple strudel. Phenomenal flavor; peanut brittle and bitter chocolate; milk chocolate; caramel; boozy; Oreo cookie cocoa biscuit. Heavy body; rich and sludgy; fine, lasting residual stickiness.
This amazing barrel aged imperial stout exudes richness and balance. The apple brandy barrel aspect adds some strange yet satisfying uniqueness. Their is a certain apple ester quality with a bit of amburana wood cinnamon-like spiciness. This is just a phenomenal beer. Period.
