Poured at 53°. Black with ruby edges; rocky dark brown head disappeared quickly; solid ring initially; no cap retention;
spots of lace on agitation; no legs on swirl. Nose is cherries; mild boozy bourbon exhale. Taste is dark cherries, bourbon, chocolate; no bitterness but not sweet; spicy oak and vanilla notes; chocolate/cherry finish. Silky feel; medium body; light carbonation; warmth from 14% abv; pleasant alcohol burn on tip of tongue. Overall, an excellent impy stout; the barrel and base flavors compliment each other; the taste is chocolate covered cherry bourbon ball candy with a kick of mild spicy barrel linger.
