Part of CCB's OKAD series of one-off keg treatments. This one is a treatment of Table Saison. Served in a pint glass in the tasting room.
A - Pours a nice, slightly hazy orange-gold, like a properly mixed mimosa. About a figer of off-white head, slight retention and scattered lacing.
S - Blueberry pancake syrup, grass and hay, and some spicy hoppiness. Pretty nice.
T - Not quite as good as the nose, more like Table Saison with some blueberry syrup added toward the end. Not bad by any stretch, but I had visions of Cascade Blueberry in my head and this didn't quite measure up.
M - CCB always kills it on the mouthfeel, and this is no exception. Carbonation is spot-on and the medium body of the saison makes it exceptionally drinkable.
O - It's a nice enough idea, but I'm in the camp of people who want the beer aged on real fruit in a barrel for a few months. Blueberries in particular can make shortcuts very evident, and this beer is no exception. That being said, I could've gone for another glass easily enough.
