Pours a clear, amber or honey color with a solid inch of off-white head which dissipated to a thickish film in about a minute. Little lace left behind.
Smell is a well blended mixture of hops, citrus and a floral sweetness. Malt is present but takes a supporting role.
Taste is hops, malt and little else. A touch of pine perhaps.
Not a rough, overhopped pale ale, this is a much more restrained, more well blended version. Medium body and carbonation though a bit watery. A hint of tortilla comes into the aftertaste. A solid APA.

Notes from CCB: This is a 4.8% ABV American Pale Ale brewed exclusively with Summer hops, a newer hop straight from Australia known for its melon and apricot notes.
A: Hazy, light gold in color, with a good amount of visible carbonation for a growler. Forms a half-finger's worth of white head.
S: Grainy, wheat, apricot and fruity, with some spiciness and citrus hops.
T: Wheat bready, citrus hops, grapefruit and a flavor that reminds me of lemon verbena. The citrus notes increase as the beer warms, especially the orange character. It also develops some floral characteristics.
M: Medium body, lower carbonation sensation. Only a mild alcohol presence.
O: Decent beer, and a good single hop experience with a hop I've not knowingly had before. Still though, nothing that really excites me. I didn't get much melon character in the flavor or on the nose at all. Worth a try.
