Reviewed from notes. Had from a firkin at CCB tasting room. Served in a pint glass.
A: Very hazy copper to brown, with a thin white head of big bubbles and almost no visible carbonation (likely due to serving style).
S: Orange, grapefruit and citrus rind bitterness with a noticeable bready malt backbone. Overall impression is that of pretty bright citrus.
T: Follows the nose well. Big citrus (orange), grapefruit rind bitterness and bready malt underneath. Moderate hop bitterness in the hang, but the citrus sweetness tries to balance it.
M: Medium body and heft to the beer, but with a smooth - almost creamy - mouthfeel (again, likely due to the firkin). Moderate alcohol presence.
O: I thought this was really good. Very, very citrusy - almost over the top. But if you're in the mood for it, it was excellent.
