Thanks to Sheldon for bringing this to a Nevada Wolfpack baseball game at the end of the season 2018.
Yellow pour on the brighter side of things, not the degree of clarity I was expecting here. White head went up/down, up/down like a bobber in the pond, but settled around 1/4". Aroma had plenty of wheat and yeast dryness, but there was that mixed fermentation sour thing going for it too, noticeably sour.
Taste, also noticeably sour. Its like we're moving further from the light, saisons, and this sub genre saison grisette just keep moving towards wild ale territory. Now, with that said, I really dug the beer, it was fun to drink. Plenty of good wheat based levity packing plenty of gristy flavor into a de minimus package. Your boy makes good on all 4 inches essentially. Bone dry. Plenty of noticeable brett character that goes to the notion of "grist". Wasn't able to discern the date addition, but that's ok, the beer was still plenty good.

a brett fermented grisette style with dates in it, and a really cool beer overall, done in collaboration with an operation called lines, which i dont think i have heard of before. i am amazed how clear this pours, golden yellow in color with a high rising but very fast fading white head. shiny and sexy before the head goes away, lots of carbonation. the aroma is amazing, funky mature brett with even a lambic sort of wildness, just no oak or acidity to me. its musty and farmy and rustic, but real well refined on top of a very light grain base, soft white wheat forward to me, but im not sure what all comprises it. the dates are subtle but appreciable, sweet and dried like raisins in here, but when i taste the beer, its bone dry, and i only get the essence of the dates after the swallow, crazy! its really minimal, and its not even about the dates really, its about the ferment, which is funky and drying and really quite weird, and there is a little lemony pucker to it, but still low acidity for sure. there is a floral character, a delicate overall nature, and some earthy farmy almost hayloft character, amazingly well built and dialed in, unique as can be, and another killer and distinctive, even memorable beer from these guys. the dates are really mellow, the brett is unique, and the beer on the whole is an amazing drinker, even a morning beer for me. world class, and well worth the eight bucks or so they ask for a little bottle of it! i could drink a dozen of these!
