Generally speaking... I am not a fan of sour/tarts; but I like many fruit beers (particularly if they don't get too tart); and I like almost every saison I've ever had (assuming the brewer was well-intentioned and better than semi-skilled in the saison art.)

So when I'm deciding to buy this, I am hoping for fruit whose sweetness is held in check by the saison's spicing.
I finished the bottle and am not sure still what I got.
Definitely off-my-charts for sour. Looks like a pretty red-head. Smells mostly sour. Tastes that way, too. Not surprising me, it lingers sour, too. Had it with my world-famous ratatouille and this is the first "saison" to not go well with it.

The best I can say is that this has been a learning experience.

6/9/17 - On tap at Chéri in Philadelphia Arts Guild. From a bottle dated 6/2016 poured into a globe shaped glass. Reddish rust color with slight white head. No lacing. Refreshing sour raspberry aroma and taste while sitting outside on a sunny day. Very tasty and interesting flavors, however I only had time for one.

FROM THE BREWERY: The Raspberry Saison is obtained by adding fermented raspberry juice, until complete maturation. Far from making the beer syrupy and sticky, the raspberry sinks elegantly into the fruity of the beer, and brings a touch of acidity that pleasantly raises the whole. Aperitif beer par excellence, sparkling and fresh, the Raspberry Season
also has its place at the table, for example with a salad with duck breast, accompanied by desserts with peaches or melon, or with
dark chocolate .

11.2oz. bottle

Pours cloudy hazy amber orange with a thin off-white foam head. Smells like oak, tart funky raspberries, with earthy grassy pine. Tastes like tart funky raspberries, oak, with earthy grassy pine. Feels medium bodied, creamy and thick with moderate high carbonation. Overall a real nice tart raspberry saison.

Appearance: Pours hazy and pink, with just the tiniest of heads that fades away quickly; minimal lacing

Smell: Tart raspberry and a hint of barnyard funk and bread

Taste: The funk and raspberry tones jut forward with peppery yeast and wheat bread flavors building through the middle; tart and fruity, with a slight amount of funk through the finish

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with low carbonation

Overall: The fruit is deftly handled and combines nicely with the Brett and Saison yeast strains here; mouthfeel was a bit flabby, however

Basically a very nice blonde brett with a hint of natural raspberry. My bottle was missing a few ounces so I thought it might be flat. I was surprised when it popped upon opening. I got another surprise at the nasty grime on the inside of the cap and rim of the bottle. I wiped most of it away and the beer seems about unaffected. Almost no raspberry in aroma..
