Purchased at the Nelson Wines, South Wimbledon. This beer is brewed by the Freeminer Brewery and bottled by I.B.S. Ltd. (Integrated Bottling Solutions) for a motorbike magazine (hence the name)~~ BBE Feb. 07, served cool in a straight imperial-pint glass.
A: coming copperish with an off-white beer head which dissipates rather fast; quite fizzy.
S: roasted chest-nutty malts upfront along with ripe longan fruits, while a faint trace of melted brown sugar ensues; also at presence are smooth and sweet-ish creamy caramel malts with a touch of Scottish Ale's burned and peat-smoked maltiness. Overall semi-rich malty.
T: a very smooth and mildly sweet peat-smoked maltiness upfront gradually brings out chewy nuttiness, freshly-cut hays, melted caramel, and more subtle smoked prunes in the background; a mildly bitter-sweet herbal flavour like licorice-tea lingers in the aftertaste.
M&D: light and refreshing texture for the semi-rich flavour, alas there's not much hop entry to provide more complexity to the flavour profile and overall structure. Still, this is a medium-bodied, tasty malty brew well worth a try~~
