BBE 2007. English presentation as this one shows no head at all and a golden/amber beercollor. Less nice was the heavy load of flocks in the bottle that became fell in smaller pieces while pooring in and was unable to keep em out off my glass while pporing in. Nose is very fruity( apricot/strawberry)& sweet, litle smoke but hard to detect and a bit of maltyness. Though comming in a clear bottle nothing noticeable of lightinfluence. Taste is sweet and litle wortlike, fruity, litle burnt and low on bitterness. IMO not balanced well witch makes mouthfeel sticky and sweet but further ok. Well drinkable beer overall though and certainly something else as your regular beer.

250 ml bottle is cute. Though dishwater appearance in bottle, beer is light and pours amber with retaining head. All Carmel malt beverage with Whiskey and smoke notes. Decent vanilla and port aroma. Drinkable in 4 small gulps. Similar but lighter than Unibroue Raftman.

From a 250 ml clear bottle, this beer poured a smooth caramel brown colour, with a loud fizzing head initially, which disappeared very quickly to a minimal creamy ring about the edges of the glass.
The aroma is what I enjoy most about this brew: a very robust sweetness immediately asserts itself, almost similar to sour candy, which is obviously the "whiskey malt" as the bottle declares; VERY malty. If you enjoy sweet brews, this one should please your palate. I find the aroma very appetising and appealing. I smell also the pungency of dried fruits--perhaps apricot, tangerine or peach. The taste, to me, was not as good as the aroma had promised, but it is still quite delectable. It is sweet, with almost no bitter finish, and full-bodied. A unique and delicious product, in small amounts. The sweetness may become too cloying for some, but this is meant as a leisurely "one or two" type beer anyway. It is most certainly worth a taste; and the name recommends itself to me--my last name is McGregor.

What a treasure this stuff is, I'm glad I managed to find some again. Cannot believe it hasn't been reviewed yet.

Came in a 4 pack of 8.45 oz clear bottles, a piper on the label, labeled as a malt whiskey beer. Deep copper in appearance, small splash of head that dissipates quickly. Rich butterscotch diacetyl aroma, slight grainy malt and sweet dried apricot smell behind it. Flavour of sweet grain, buttery malt and fruit, a hint of an apricot brandy. Only the slightest presence of hops comes out in the aftertaste. Rich velvety smooth mouthfeel, it slides across the palate and goes down very easy. Overwhelmingly enjoyable stuff, it's a little pricey for what you think you're getting (those bottles look small), but it is well worth it, this malt whiskey beer is highly recommended.
