This is a deliciously bitter blonde ale that is simultaneously very drinkable but also full of flavor and makes you want to have another sip right away. While I'm not a huge fan of blonde ales as a whole, I have to say that I'd drink this one all day long.

Clear with good carbonation and a thin head. Exotic fruit flavours from the hops. A light malt background and pleasant bitterness. Quite light and fruity in flavour overall.

Copenhagen 24/2 2023. 33 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. A purple hippopotamus with yellow spots.

Pours unclear - almost opaque - pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a bit of yeast and some citrus fruit. Sweet pale malts, banana and lemon.

Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lively and tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.

Nice if somehow a little bland.

De 32gp. En copa Grimbergen. Viendo Jessica Jones. Con almendras naturales. No está mal, tiene un puntito hoppy, si, pero bastante ligero y en la línea de las industriales, aunque se bebe sin desagrado

Brouwerij Huyghe 'Paranoia' Belgian Blonde Ale @ 5.6% , served from a 330 ml can
A-pour is a light gold from the can to a slight hazy light gold in the glass with a small size white head leaving a fine spotty lace ring along the tulip
S-Citra , Mosaic , Cascade , Centennial & Polaris hops , give off a tropical fruits vibe
T-tropical fruits dominate (apricot , passionfruit , & pineapple) with a decent bitter swallow
MF-ok carbonation , medium body
Ov-a hoppy hippo kinda beer

While it's not fully opaque--displaying a more lightly foggy burnt yellow with a tall white foam that leavis craggy lacing on the glass--it definitely has the dank chewy qualities of a modern hazy, nearing a cottonmouth chew with hints of biscuit and tropical fruit pith.

I didn't expect to have a decent "NEIPA" here at the Delirium Café in Brussels, but here we are!

2022.07.29 - 355mL Can poured into Spencer Trappist stemmed goblet.

Paranoia - Hazy, Hoppy, Hippo Beer - Blond Beer brewed in Belgium

Pours a hazy, pale blonde with a fluffy white head that dissipates fairly quickly/evenly. Aroma is belgian yeast, citrus, orange peel, incredibly ZESTY with a capital ZED. I feel like I've travelled back to 2013 and someone has brought me a Deschutes Chainbreaker. I'd probably take the DeLorean to 88MPH to replicate the experience. Brilliantly executed, this delivers all of those "White IPA" promises without the need to attach to the style descriptor. Medium body, carbonation on point, aromatics are a wondrous bouquet, clean finish, lots of complexity.
