Beer bottle (33 cl.), tasted in 2010.
Appearance : red brown color, with tan foamy head.
Smell : fruity and roasted caramel aromas.
Taste and mouthfeel : spicy, malty with caramel flavours. Mild bitterness with a dry finish.
Drinkability : an average beer in the style Belgian dark ale.

Formally known as Oxfam Bruin, this is a 'fairtrade' beer with ingrediants from Thailand, Costa Rica and Bolivia. Only available from Belgian Oxfam shops (as far as I know), this one is from the one in Brugge.
Brown 33cl bottle (sediment within) poured into my Westmalle chalice.
Dark Ruby Red body, clear and clean looking, good covering of a light brown foamy head which left some lacing as the beer was sunk.
Very little smell, some roasted malts maybe, but nothing much.
The taste was sour at first, some toated malts, hints of coffee and chocolate, slight but just about detectable.
A bit thin and lacking in depth for a 7.5% ABV.
I'll not be rushing out and getting a crate full of this, but one is fine.
