Copenhagen 18/2 2022. cl bottle from Beerdealer web-shop. red and white label with a little logo with a silhouette of a monk.
Pours clear dark brown with a red hue. Big off-white head. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a rich sweet odor of malts and alcohol mingling with sourish grains and a subtle citric scent. Caramel, toffee and hints of brown sugar. Dark alcohol lurking just beneath.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet caramel. Lingers for a while. Finish is sugary with light boozy streak
Pleasant, potent and sweet. Solid.
