"Maple Saison". Veiled and hazy dark amber/copper color with light activity. Slightly creamy light brown 2 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with shy legs and swirl reaction. Flavors of maple, sweet grains, wheat, brett yeast, banana, nutmeg, clove, and floral hops. Slick and oily full body with crispy carbonation. Medium strength finish, moderate caramel feel, with lots of spicy notes, with balanced hops and wild yeast. Maple is discernible but the intensity more like maple water. Cross Saison and red ale. Freshness is okay, more yeast would be nice, more maple as well. Lacks complexity and a bit of balance. Drinkability is average, though warming. Overall above average quality.
