Stopped into Rock Art just before closing yesterday, and picked up a growler of this Saison along with a few 22's. Glad to report that it survived the 500 mile journey back home in fine fashion... fine fashion, indeed.

Pours with about 2F of large, bubbly white head that fades quickly to nada. Body is a dirty blond color, with a nice chill haze / partly cloudy. Lots of carbonation.

Aromas are full o' the funk! Nice!! Lots of barnyard, farmhouse quality. Along with a strong, dirty hay quality are cardboard, zesty spice, and just a touch of green apple.

Flavors carry on the outdoor-quality, with plenty of grass, dull lemon, and pungent yet soft floral hops. Light tartness. Mouthfeel is pretty bright, yet soft - maybe that has something to do w/being in a growler for 24 hrs in a moving car. Overall, pretty light on the palate and easy to drink. I forgot to ask for the ABV, but I'm guessing 5%.

Overall, this one really advanced my perception of Rock Art. This thing tasted like you'd want a summer, Vermont-brewed saison - really, really well done!
