Poured on-tap and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a black coloring with brown highlights around the edges, and a tan, clingy head. Nose of roasted coffee, smoke, and earthy highlights. Flavors are rich chocolate bitterness forward, with a bitter coffee and booze follow up. Thick and rich, with a roasted and bitter aftertaste. The finish is smooth, with a bitter linger. Very solid brew.
