Had on tap. Clear brown with a tan cap. Smell has toasted toffee, date, biscuit and very light earth. Taste adds more earth to balance to the same flavors, leans sweeter but barely. Nice drinkable ale, very smooth, warm, but finishes light. Probably the best I have had from BRBC
