Look: It pours dark brown with good head retention.
Smell: It has aromas of coffee, nuts, maple syrup, and roast. There are low levels of vanilla and very low levels of dark fruits. The dark fruits become more pronounced as the beer warms.
Taste: The flavors feature coffee, nuts and maple syrup. There is some low roasted and low vanilla. The dark fruits come in a at low level with plums and raisins as the beer warms.
Feel: It has a creamy and silky texture with moderate carbonation.
Overall, a very impressive stout with complex aromas and flavors.

Came from the nitro tap in a goblet a jet black with a thick creamy beige head atop.Coffee and cocoa powder mainly in the nose with only mild caramel sweetness.A full creamy nitro feel wich really fits this beer well.Bitter chocolate and dark roast coffee with a light but noticeable maple presence underneath, the beer never gets to sweet and the alcohol doesn't hit ya over the head.A real nice breakfast stout, likely the best beer Blowing Rock makes.

Had on nitro @ Duckworth's Park Road, Charlotte.
Poured nitro - so creamy, dark with nice head retention and subtle roasty malts in the finish. Far and away the best thing I've had from this brewery. They're 1.5 north of me... pulling for them. They have a great space in a cool little mountain town. If you get a chance, check this one out.
