Poured from a 12 oz can into a Shaker pint. No canned on date evident. Purchased at Blowing Rock Brewing at the brewery.
A: Crystal clear golden-light amber with short-lived off-white head with a few spots of lacing.
S: Nice biscuit malt aroma with soft herbal, haylike hopping. Mild low-Lovibond caramel note as well. No yeast or alcohol character noted.
T: The flavor is pleasant and easy-going, not very complex, an easy-drinker with malt as the dominant feature. Soft caramel with some grainy light malt flavors are countered by grassy, haylike hopping. Nice mellow light malt aftertaste. Low bitterness. A hint of oxidation in the assumed to be 8 week old sample (purchased in the first week of April). No significant yeast or alcohol flavors. Clean and easy to drink.
M: Light bodied and a little undercarbonated.
O: An easy-drinking summer beer that would good after hot yardwork or sitting by the pool. Not trying to be anything more than a simple, straightforward blonde ale.
