Another one from todays adventure in seattle.
A pours a medium amber color with a thin hea, but a good bit of lacing.
S lots of bread, and caramel malts.
T more bread and caramel along with a slight metallic taste. Also a very slight spice note.
M medium body, goes down smooth with a dry finish.
Overall a solid esb espcially for a local beer. I would drink this again.

I've had this brew multiple times and was surprised to see that I hadn't reviewed it. Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear amber color with 1/2 inch of light tan head that had good retention and very light lacing.
The aroma was malty grain, gently balanced hops and just a bit of yeast. The flavors were pretty much the same, just better defined. The malt was dominant, the hops had a nice tingle, there was a just a hint of roastiness and a bit of a bready yeast taste on the clean finish.
The body was fairly typical, full and smooth without being heavy or filling. Drinkability was very good, you could (and I have) sit and have several of these very easily. Overall, a very nice brew to quaff while watching the Mariners (whose stadium sits on Royal Brougham Way. R. Brougham was an old-school Seattle sports writer). Worth trying when you see it.

on tap at the Skep..
a dark hazy amber pour with intense lacing upon the glass. floral aromatics from English hops, some toasty malt and a bit of sweetness. pretty tasty, very easy drinking. some caramel malt, a little bready, solid hop bitterness with a floral finish. nice thick bready mouthfeel, the bitterness accompanies the beer very nicely. pretty drinkable, nice.
