Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear coppery brown with about 1/4 inch of off-white head that had low retention and very light lacing.
The aroma was mostly biscuit and caramel malts, with some soft hops in the background. The taste was pretty much the same, with some tobacco and leather notes as well.
The body was smooth and nicely medium with a semi-dry finish. Drinkability was good, the first pint went down quickly and easily, and I see more in my future. Overall, a pretty nice take on the style, certainly worth a shot if you see it.
