Small sample at Salisbury MD Good Beer Festival. Billed as a NEIPA. Pours a slightly hazy light amber with a brief off-white head. Initial impression is subdued grapefruit and caramel, offsetting most of the hops bitterness. Mouthfeel is a little thin and definitely not pillow-y, but OK. Finish has essentially no residual bitterness. Overall, not my take on a NEIPA but pretty decent on its own merits.

8 oz pour on tap. This is an old-school IPA with heavy bitterness and flavors of pine and citrus with a caramel malt backbone (but not too sweet). It's been a while since I've had an IPA like this and while it isn't my favorite, it's a nice change of pace.

Poured from tap into a mug. Pours golden orange with a tiny head. Smells of citrus hops and light grain. Tastes of earthy and citrus hops, grain plays in nicely. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking. Overall, a very good beer.

Look: OK same as always, let's not bust on the myth, it look like beer. I will let anyone know when something does not look like beer.
Partly cloudy but it's from the "Crowler" nice IPA.

Smell: you get that standard hop smell that all IPA's have. "Standard IPA" smell. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

Taste: taste fine. the hop is there, not boozy, you know you are drinking a tasty IPA.
West coast style, not east coast style.
OK, why is describing IPA brewing become east coast west coast?
I don't know. I just tastes good !

Feel: not gone tell you ! It's personal.

Overall: a fine IPA from the boys at St. Michaels bay.
(Did I just type that ? ! ?)
It's their version of a fresh IPA and they did a fine job.

And that's my review
