On tap at Town Dock. Standard hazy yellow pour and white head for the style. Aroma of banana esters, yeast, wheat malts, some light sweet honey notes. Flavor is as the aroma would suggest, with plenty of the yeast my banana hefe flavor we all love. Light bodied, medium plus carbonation, crisp clean finish. This is an excellent hefe and I’d love to try it next to Live Oak’s version. This is a really good beer.

On tap at the brewery today.
Pouring mildly hazy yellow with a dense, white head that falls off rapidly, leaving no lace, this looks decent. It smells great, though. The clove and banana notes are present by the bushelful in excellent harmony, with the banana notes being especially ripe, fragrant, and even a little cooked (a la banana bread). The palate opens with a blend of banana and clove, both present in large quantities while staying refreshing. The wheat does come through on the mid-palate, along with a slight peppery spice note. Drying on a finish, this does feel a *little* watery. Light in body, moderately carbonated, this is a pretty excellent hefeweizen IMO.

Had on tap. Nice golden wheat color. Knew I was going to like this one from the way it looked and smelled. Smells of wheat, banana, and a little lemon. Upon receiving the beer it had little to no head on it.
Beer is a low ABV at 4.7% and is at 8.2 IBU. It was perfect for a nice summers day on the water.
