On tap at the brewery today. This is the first in a series of Brewmaster specials.
Light golden yellow with a dense, white head with excellent retention and a little lacing, this looks great! The nose is solid. Plenty of yeasty phenols along with pleasantly spicy notes (white pepper, clove, a little bubblegum). Moderate honey sweetness is present too.
The palate opens with a blend of yeasty phenols and honey. This isn't sweet (it is reasonably light on the palate), but it does carry plenty of sweeter flavors - honey, candi sugar - along with an alcohol bite that cuts through it and lends a mild bitterness. Mildly hoppy with a modest, appropriate bitterness. Drying, spicy and a little alcoholic on the finish, there is a little astringency present, but not enough to leave too much of a bad impression. Mediu-medium light in body with moderate carbonation, this feels pretty decent. Recommended, but I doubt anyone else will review this beer here.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
