Served in a snifter, this was a 2012 Leopold Whiskey BA version.

A- Creamy head, robust carbonation, creamy lace that layers over the pitch black body. 4.25

S- Chocolate, oak, wine, moss, ocean salt. 4.5

T- Huge mossy, sea-heavy, peaty whiskey flavor, dark chocolate, vanilla and oak. Such a medley of deliciousness. There's a wine-like quality at the finish. I start to notice a bit of bubble gum-like yeast flavor too. 4.5

M- Extremely drinkable and devoid of booziness. Bubbly carbonation tingles on the mouth before a dry finish. It's slightly sweet and has just a bit of creaminess. I'm surprised by the lightness. 4.3

Overall, this is a gem of a beer. Delicious as hell. It's aged exceptionally. 4.48

Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head.

Nose has chocolate, roasty malts, floral hops, coffee and molasses.

Taste has coffee, cocoa, bitter hops and dark malts.

Medium body is a bit thin. Thin finish as well.

Not bad, average. Good to see these guys are continuing to try new styles. They should add more malts to this and age it in barrels.
