This is a bottle from 10/08/10, bottle number 0058 cellared at a temp of 60 degrees
Appearance - Nice ruby color. Unfortunately the head dissolved very quickly.
Smell - Nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, allspice, caramel, oxidation due to the age
Taste - very fall esq, sweetness, alittle bitterness but very common for a saison. spiciness from the allspice, cinnamon, and tartness.

gold! this is an epic pumpkin ale. pours a very dark red amber color with a prominent white head. smells of the garam masala and the brown sugar, roasted caramel malt body with a nose of squash and spice. so friggen tasty, like a buzzing honey vibe, only autumnal. so so so good, best pumpkin ale of the season. this one ranks. great brewery great beer. absolutely fantastic, cannot tell it is 10.5 ABV. no way, just sensational! im high as a kite on this one. wow

was savin this guy for Halloween but it fell out of the fridge and the cup seemed open. no better time than now for the second half of the Niner game. thank to bigaltemple for LIFing this one to me.
pumpkin saison with pumpkin, brown sugar and spices. 9.5%abv
Bottle #15, 2010 vintage 750ml into 2 killer mustached pint glasses (thanks all)
a- wow this one pours out dark. deep dark red hue, nearly brown. light doesn't pass thru the core but some comes thru the edges. small finger of off white head, leaves no lacing
s- mmm the best part if the beer. this one smells delicious! first up front is the strong pumpkin, it's real good. nutmeg and spices follow. saison yeast follows last. yup it's definitely a pumpkin saison.
t- the pumpkin is much less present in the taste than it was on the nose. the spices take over upfront followed by slight pumpkin in the finish, can't taste the saison too much on the tongue. a lot more watery than I was expecting. leaves a nice pumpkin after taste.
m- very carbonated very bubbly on the tongue, body is medium to light heft. zero heat on this one even though it says near 10 which is very impressive.
o- this my first pumpkin saison. it is a very interesting take on the pumpkin ales. would love to try more pumpkin saisons. definitly good for an afternoon of football
thanks for the chance at this one al, and thanks for the fantastic glasses.

Bought the bottle from the brew pub and cellared for a year. I see one other review on this and they must have gotten a different year or batch because my beer was dark brown with orange hints only when held to the light. It had a light fizzy head that faded fast and left ok lacing.
The aromas were intoxicating with meaty pumpkin, tart fruity esters of saison yeast, nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar, and allspice. Hints of ginger as well.
The taste is odd, brown sugar, pumpkin spice are definite and balanced well. Saison yeast adds an interesting body and twist on the flavors. Some metallic/medicinal notes peek through but the spices override. Overall, a delicious beer. Not cloying but just right sweet.
A bit thin and fizzy, but nicely balanced and artfully done.

Picked up the 750 ml bottle at the brewery (split the insane cost with a friend) and poured it at schmittymack's 50th birthday party. Poured a clear reddish color with a lingering amber head. Aromas of pumpkin, ginger, allspice and cloves. Palate was light to medium bodied with flavors of caramel, pumpkin pie, allspice, clove and cinnamon.
