Draft at hoppy roomy in Shanghai
Creamy sense 1 finger head, good retention and thick notched lacing, clear pale color
Nose super hoppy, fresh citrus, floral, mild spicy hops, tropical fruit, pith, light malt
Taste mild sweet malt, cereal grain, plenty of hops, citrus, mild tropical, little grapefruit pith, hint spicy, med to lighter bitterness, dry finish
Mouth is med bod, med carb
Overall quite nice

Filtered appearance. Body is clear and somewhat vibrant. Body colour is pale copper. Head is a fluffy off-white that dies within 5 minutes.
AROMA: Straining through my hyposmia, all I pick up is some floral hop character, lilac, and pale malt. Aromatic intensity is mild.
TASTE: Hints of soap. Soft mineral water. Faint floral hop notes. The soapiness drags it down and really mucks up the hop profile, preventing the hops from landing distinctly and intensely. Pale malt is present, of course.
An imbalanced mess of an "Extra Pale Ale" with a lacklustre hop profile. Not a beer I'd seek out when in China - I'd rather have Snow, to be honest. But it is drinkable and there's nothing egregiously wrong here.

The Contender.....us truly a contender. The beer poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving a lace. The scent is bolstered by mosaic hops....so lots of passion fruit....quite nice. The taste is a nice base of pine apple and is very very sessionable....not bitter at all. The Mouthfeel is lighter in body with smooth carbonation. Overall this is a great beer and would be perfect for the humid shanghai summers.
