There’s no better way to get around a beautiful city like Milan, than on a bike. Sure you may miss a thing here or there, but that’s just extra motivation to go back. Enjoy our take on an Italian Pilsner, clean and refreshing with just enough of a hoppy bite to remind you we made it.

Got this one from Sonny. Bine & Vine’s website called it “There’s no better way to get around a beautiful city like Milna, then on a bike. Sure you may miss a thing here or there, but that’s just extra motivation to go back. Enjoy our take on an Italian Pilsner, clean and refreshing with just enough of a hoppy bite to remind you we made it.” Hops mentioned were Hallertau Tradition and Hallertau Blanc, with the malts of Weyermann Barke Pils.

Poured a medium yellow clear color with four fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Could see plenty of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class spiderweb foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)

Smelled pretty good. In order got sourdough bread, black pepper, grass, earthy pilsner malt, white grape, burnt match, salted tortilla chips, hay, basement aroma and onion. (Smell - 4.25)

Taste wasn’t as good as the nose. Got sourdough bread, grass, black pepper, aspirin, earthy pilsner malt, white grape, burnt match, hay, baseman aroma, onion, garlic and salted tortilla chips. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt, skunky finish. (Feel - 4.50)

This was really nice for the style. Glad I got a can. (Overall - 4.25)

I had this on draft 5/21/25 @ the Hopleaf.

Mostly see-through orange/yellow appearance; champagne bubbles throughout.

Nice bright white head; nice, frothy lacing remained. Peach, mild fresh soap & lime notes in the nose.

Medium thin mouthfeel.

Peach & mild fresh soap flavors up front; mild lime notes on the finish.

Crisp & vaguely tart; interesting, but one is enough per session.

Copenhagen 17/2 2023. 47,3 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. White can with a rainbow colored med in silhouette.

Pours almost clear, pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as uneven, lumpy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a fresh scent of grass and citrus. Sweet pale malts, ripe pear, white bread. Citrus and grass.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry.

Fresh well balanced Pilsener with a decent bitter bite.

Well, Raul has been to Milan - but no, he did not moped there. Thats ok though, because through this beverage, I gather the feeling. Now, it’s not like Monica Vitti is on the back of one with me - but I also sure as hell don’t have Giuletta Masaline (“La Strada” rocks. But she just isn’t the first face I’d want to see when I enter a flop house (and we all know “Night’s of Calabria” blows). Anyway… Who cares? Time to drink.
