On draft at peekskill Brewery

Pours out a pretty typical auburn amber, malted up sniff.

Malty and smooth brew, big honey, vanilla dn maple notes all over this collab...delicious and heady brew.

This is a collaboration between Peekskill Brewery and Rushing Duck Brewing Co. for Peekskill's 10th Anniversary. I had it on draught at Rushing Duck. It was served in a goblet. It pours a hazy, orange-cola color with a thin, ecru-colored head and thin sheen of lacing inside the glass. The nose is fragrant with apple, caramel, roasted malt, and brown sugar. The taste opens with lots of apple and some black cherry, along with caramel and brown sugar. It finishes with a lot of bitterness. The mouth feel is fairly lite for such a "big" beer and for a Barleywine the carbonation is surprisingly lively. The 11% ABV is warming but it doesn't overwhelm the taste. Overall, this is one of the fruitiest Barleywines I've had. I enjoyed it.
