Enjoyed at the brewery and then in a growler purchased a few hours ago at home.

Coffee IPA made with Finca la Bonita coffee beans from Tarrytown, NY.

Pours darker amber, lightly hazed and supporting a solid looking off white head, that leaves a thicker collar and ample sheeting high and low on the glass.

Pine and roasted coffee beans on the nose.

IPA with a more then moderate coffee inflection. Pine and citric hops, co mingled with coffee notes all over this one. If ya like coffee, and hops in yer beer this one is for you.
Not really my favorite, but its well put together and easy drinking enough.

MIght work with some a coffee ice cream infused dessert

This beer immediately makes me think of Portlandia, so that's something. On tap at Peekskill Brewery.

Pours a clear amber. 2 inch head, with random spots of lace down the glass.

Spells of earthy coffee beans and pine needles.

Very similar taste. The hop flavor is very resinous- piney and earthy, with basically no fruit flavors coming from the hop. The combination of bitter coffee makes for a somewhat astringent brew. Not for the faint of heart- I quite enjoyed it. Very, very coffee forward- it's not subtle.

Well carbonated, medium mouthfeel.

A great hoppy coffee beer. Intensely resinous in nature. if you're a hop head, you'll like this. If you're a bean-head, you'll also like this.

On tap at Peekskill.

Coffee and IPA seem like two entities that shouldn't co-exist, but sometimes breweries get some success out of the combo. This one was pretty good. Slightly hazy, brownish-amber in color, with a foamy white head that retained well and laced the glass. Even if the beer doesn't look like something that would have coffee in it, there's no mistaking it from the aroma. Ground coffee and piney hops. Similarly, the taste starts off in IPA town, piney and leafy, biscuity pale malts; fresh coffee quickly takes over, but in good quantity...it's not too potent or overdone. Light-medium body, moderate carbonation. It wasn't really my thing, but it was still well-done for the style.

Coffee IPA made with Finca la Bonita coffee beans from Tarrytown, NY. We were told this IPA was steeped with coffee beans.

A- spirit pours a ruby amber body with a strong burst of foam that rescides leaving some lacing. A good looking brew that glows in the glass

S- a strong whiff of pine is bundled with a dry coffee scent that is underscored by a caramel malt scent. So unique as the black coffee scent follows through. A sweet malt scent closes out the scent profile. Even got some mangos in the scent

T- very piney with a strong caramel malt flavor. Almost instantly, an excellent roasty black coffee flavor appears on the scene. What a combination of an IPA and coffee brew that is not common at all (kopi from mikkeller is all I can think of). Sweet piney malt meets coffee grounds... Great taste from the infusion of the coffee with the ipa properties.

M- Prickly sweet flavors are combined with good carbonation. Great feel from all the flavor

O- what a great experiment from Peekskill! A piney citric ipa with sweet hearty flavor is literally crossed over with black coffee grounds leaving a great taste excursion. Too often do brewers do experiments that just don't mesh... But Chief comes out with this wicked flavor concoction. He was very deliberate with the coffee in this and it made all the difference. Highly recommend this!
