Finally Yuengling has come to Texas! So, I have to try 'em all. I'll start with Flight. I'm not a fan of Ultra Lights at all. But, this one isn't bad at all.
It's nothing special. But, has more flavor than other Ultras. Before I knew it I had downed six while mowing the grass. Good back yard BBQ or yard work beer.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a light golden color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a light level of retention, fading over time to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is light overall. There is a hint of grain and a touch of caramel. Along with these smells comes some very light hay and a little bit of corn.
Taste – The taste begins with a light cracker malt flavor mixed with some caramel and corn sweetness. At the same time there is a little bit of a grain taste that persists throughout. Toward the end of the taste, the sweetness increases a bit while the malt fades. A little bit of hay comes at the very end, leaving on with a light and crisp taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and crisp with a carbonation level that is high. For the style the feel is great, making for a very nice easy drinking and refreshing brew.
Overall – A rather easy drinking and refreshing light beer. By no ways a powerhouse, but for its purpose a decent go to.

For a ultra light beer this is definitely at the top of its class. It’s an ultra light beer that actually has taste ( even though it’s faint), but as a feel to it that you can consistently drink them and not feel bored. It is much better then Michelob Ultra and Corona Premier. Simply because it still has a beer taste. The price point is what keeps folks away from trying new beers.

I consider this beer to be a slightly higher quality ultra light beer. It's very light in color and while it has that typical ultra light flavor profile, it's very clean and refreshing. Not a bad choice for a hot day and definitely better than me other ultra light selections.

Pours a standard translucent gold with a fluffy white head that dissipates in a few seconds. This one smells like actual barley malt and has a slightly floral hop smell to it. The taste is somewhat fuller than an average light beer with a nice barely presence and little adjunct sweetness. It's got a slightly crisp and bitter finish to keep it from being too sweet. It's very carbonated and very refreshing. Overall probably the best light lager I've ever had.

For a light beer this is pretty damn good. More flavor and alcohol than amstel light. I recommend it for a party or whatever. It’s not a sippin’ beer but its great for a session.

Had a weird aftertaste similar to the wheat bread at Subway, if it were doused in molasses. Ugh. There are beers with more flavor, better flavor, and still fewer carbs, and that is what I don't get. I LOVE Yuengling, but this is crap. Mich Ultra tastes better.

I gave this beer a 3.25 rating as compared to all beers. In the genre of ultra light beers it would be a bit higher. It is inoffensive and very drinkable especially on those hot afternoons, but there is nothing very memorable about it.

L- pours like it looks. Super light color, minimal white head.

S- Malt is first as in most yuengling beers. cereal grain aroma.

T- Good balance of malt to hops. not too hop forward.

F- Thin and drinkable. incredibly good body for the syle.

O- I was delighted with this beer. It is a great version of the ultra light style and it really makes it feel like you arent missing out on a great drinking experience while saving calories. Not a huge fan of the price, but it is standard of ultra lights.

Poured into a mason jar: color is straw gold, transparent, bright white head presents 1 finger thick but immediately dissipates to nothing, no lacing.

Smell is very limited, just a very small hint of mixed grains, light corn, but really had to swirl it to get aroma to emanate.

Taste is surprisingly decent for the style - clean, adjunct grain like flavor, no off flavors, malt forward, limited hop characteristics, lingering corn like flavor, some green apple.

Mouthfeel is strong carbonation, really biting, limited sweetness, lingering sharp carbonation.

Overall a well conceived light lager that hits most marks for that style and quite drinkable, wish the carbonation level was toned down some.

16oz can poured into a pint

A- pours a clear pale golden color with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces to a ring

S- cereal grains, slightly doughy, mineral, just a hint of grassy/floral hops

T- light grainy up front with some semi sweet cereal malt, slightly biscuity mid-palate, a hint of grassy hops before a dry finish that lingers with faint toasted grains

M- light body with moderate prickly carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a prickly dry finish

O- one of the better light lagers I've had, nothing offensive and highly drinkable

D.G. Yuengling & Sons, Inc. "Flight"
12 fl. oz. clear glass bottle coded "20 245 31 10:09"
$1.79 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ

Look: Clear straw gold beneath an inch of rocky bright white foam. Average head retention with almost no lacing.
Smell: Grainy and lightly sweetish.
Taste: Grainy and lightly sweetish, just like the aroma. There are only background notes of floral and grassy hops. Very limited bitterness. Mostly dry in the finish although there is a little bit of sweet malt lingering.
Feel: Medium to medium-light in body with a crisp carbonation.
Overall: It doesn't come across as a light beer given the amount of flavor that it has, which is quite nice. On the other hand that flavor is very one-sided, delivering mainly grainy accented adjunct malt with just a smear of hops. The aroma isn't exactly welcoming either, and it's not particularly well balanced overall. It really is oddly sweetish for being a light beer but if it delivers what it promises (5 cal.) I'd certainly choose it over a Corona Extra at 148 calories.

Flight has a very thick, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, straw appearance, with lazy ascending bubbles and minimal lacing. The aroma is of slight sulfur and sourness, with pale cereal grain. The taste evidences some sourness, unsweetened corn puffs, and no bitterness. Flight has a thin body and a crisp finish.

(12 oz clear bottle, code 20 224 31; purchased single off shelf... poured into 14 oz mug)

L: polished-clear, pale yellow-amber liquid; what little foam forming on the pour, quickly slinks away, leaving only a wispy swirl in the middle and an extra-thin collar

S: pretty standard display of light lager aromas - worty-doughy cereal grain, mineral-metallic esters, soft subtle grassy-herbal hops... mellow overall potency

T: looking for what's missing, on the middle of the palate hangs a marginally extra-dry, biscuity grain... delicate cereal malt sweetness dancing on the edges... vaguely grassy, partially carbonic bitterness hanging mid-palate, with a lightly-toasty grain husk adding some color; late(nt) bubblegum note... bland aftertaste, but no more so than the most watery of the style

F: thin, but with a mild silky flow, despite the bubbling on the tongue with each sip... extra dryness in the back/finish makes this extra moreish, as if parching for more

O: marginally 'lighter' than their standard light beer, so I suppose if one is watching calories, taste is really sacrificed all that much with this (1688)

16oz can stamped 20216331218 poured into a tulip pint glass at fridge temp 4.2% ABV. The beer pours bright light straw yellow with nearly white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and island of tiny bubbles. The aroma is faint with light malt and a tiny bit of yeast. The taste is tangy and grainy with vegetable oil accents before a mildly bitter, movie theater popcorn butter flavored finish. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with higher than medium carbonation and an undry finish. Overall, poor for the style. I don't appreciate this level of diacetyl in a beer this lightly flavored.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is dominated by corn. Taste is of malts, hints of corn, extremely crushable. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer. Considering the low carbs, it's not a bad choice for someone on a diet.

My wife 90% of the time goes for a big name in ultra light beers. I'm usually a yuengling traditional or budwieser kind of guy. This is my 3rd 6 pack of this stuff and my wife enjoys it as well. This is hands down the best light/ultra light beer on the market. My normal go to for light is Miller lite and this is similar but has that Yuengling goodness right off the bat. It has a light feel in the mouth but taste much more robust than any ultra style beer. It may have more flavor than a can of Budwieser. If you haven't tried it and enjoy lagers/ full beers but have to sacrifice the liquid of the gods for an ultralight give this a shot.

Pours a clear, slightly darker yellow with a moderate amount of carbonation with a white head that dissipated quickly. Nose is vinous with some grainy malt notes, more character than I expected. The taste is grainy malts with that classic Yuengling taste that I seem to be able to instantly recognize in all of their beers (maybe the water?). Highly crushable and a good effort of the style.

As an ultralight beer...it still doesn't pass. Their light lager is probably one of the best light beers going but the carbs are the key I guess. This is just a bad, bad effort from a company that I typically really like. The taste is almost a near beer but I still like a couple near beers better. It smells like I want to enjoy it but it's watery and no body feel. Not sure how to get a head on this on a pour into a clean-rinsed glass. I guess the best description for me is that it tastes like the beer that I had last night when I fell asleep and I woke up in and finished the last bit just to not waste it.

12oz bottle into a 10oz glass. Bottled March 16th 2020, so 6 weeks old

Pale golden yellow body with persistent carbonation. Small bright white head quickly fizzles away, so no lacing.

Grainy, bready aroma.

On tasting, it's clean, flavorless, a little watery.

Mouth between light and medium, finish a little grainy on the tongue.

Overall, the clean taste, and the lack of a strong aftertaste make this a drinkable, even slammable beer on a hot summer's day. It's probably a good representation of the style, but as a beer, not much going for it.

Flight by Yuengling Brewery. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, this has a three finger thick head, spotty lacing, & a light gold body.

I smell surprisingly toasted malts & a touch of hops.

Tastes like lighter grains and malts. Not picking up on hops very much. Very smooth and clean finish.

Medium-light mouthfeel with mild carbonation.

I'll go ahead and rate Flight by Yuengling Brewery with a 4. Thanks to @nicholas2121 for the bottle.

FLIGHT brewed by Yuengling Brewery, with an ABV of 4.20% This American Light Lager pours out of a 12oz glass bottle into a pint beer glass. The color is a nice amber color, with a small white head. The head to this brew goes away fast, there is also some faint lacing to this brew. It does stick to the side of the glass. The smell is light with mirror grains an malts. You do pick up on some faint hops in the smell as well. So far FLIGHT is a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is light an crisps. Really easy drinking, there is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a super nice balance to it. For being a low carb light brew it is not bad. The body of Flight is a light medium, not saying that is a bad thing. The mouth feel Bold, Light, Clean, Crisp, Smooth and Refreshing. Overall I am going to give FLIGHT a 3.75 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again givin the opportunity too. Yuengling Brewery, did a real nice job with Ultra Light Brew.

If you compare “flight” to its competition (ultra, bud 55, etc). It holds up very well. Judge it for what it is. Not extremely flavorful. Nothing major going on. Better than ultra.
