Very Good

Notes:
Brewed with a touch of lactose and crystal malt in the kettle for a silky body and extra juiciness then dry hopped with Falconers’ Flight, Cascade and Columbus in ridiculous quantities.

At long last, I am finally getting around to an extensive brewery horizontal to clear out a massive backlog in support of The CANQuest (tm). I knew that I had a number of their beers in abeyance, but it was not until I beCAN assembling them that I realized just how extensive my inventory actually was. 8/16.
From the CAN: "Handcrafted In Enola, PA"; "PIzza. Beer. Happy."; "Get A Grip India Pale Ale"; "BREW BEER"; "Proudly Brewed In Pennsylvania".
My initial attempt at Crack!ing open the vent led to excessive foaming, requiring the undertaking of emergency Glug procedures, which entail getting things under CANtrol as quickly as possible & then resuming normal operating procedures. A proper Glug resulted in the formation of two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head with excellent retention, leaving a load of lacing in its wake. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9). Nose had an earthy pine quality, much akin to the Bonnie Brae Cascade of the other day. Mmm. Cascade hops, perhaps? Mouthfeel was big, full & creamy, surprisingly so in the style. The taste CANtinued to evince that same pine earthiness that I noted on the nose & in the aforementioned beer. Mmm. It had an English IPA quality to it in that the bitterness was not the key while the malt sweetness was also quite subdued. Interesting. Finish was semi-dry as a result. YMMV.

Thanks to bl00 for this one from NBS BIF #007. 16oz can poured into 10oz fluted tulip. Poured a clean, clear, bright medium gold color that had about a half-inch of white head that had moderate retention and light lacing.
The aroma was mostly citrus and pine hops, with a light grain scent in the background. I got a wee bit of a bublegum note too.
Very similar taste profile, light malts and bright hops. A tiny bit of sweetness at the finish.
The body was the typical medium of the style, and had a finish between semi-dry and semi-sweet.
Drinkability was very good, this is the type of IPA you can knock back several of. Overall, a nice take on the basic American IPA, worth trying if you get the chance.

Pizza Boy Get a Grip IPA 6.5% ABV.
Look: golden, slight haze, white puffy head, good carbonation, lots of lacing in the glass
nose: citrus hops, orange
tongue: citrus, orange, hops, floral
feel: Light and frothy
They must use similar hops for all of their IPA's and pale ales, but it has this same very citrusy and orange taste to it.
I can't really tire of it, so if I am in the mood for a good IPA I get them alot of the time. Yah, really nice drinking. It feels
like it could be a session beer eventhough this one is a little higher ABV than some session beers.
