750ml caged and corked bottle bought at Liquor Shed.
I had to use a corkscrew to get the cork out. Big pop when I did.
Pours brown, very small tannish head of foam after it settles down. Lacing is good.
Smells fruity suggesting possible tartness from the dark fruit. There's a bit of a malt factor but it's overrun by the fruity vinous aromas.
Yeah, the caramel malt is less hidden in the taste. Vinous dark fruits accompany the malt without adding a whole lot of tartness. I find that the alcohol is, well feels stronger than the 6.0% listed on the label. The taste definitely has some mild oxidation going on too.
Medium bodied with lively carbonation.
Interesting brew. Tis a sipper...
