A mild, soft, elegant and tasteful pale ale that tastes of sun, cornfield in the fall, honey, dried fruits and flowers. This beer belongs among our absolute favorites.

Copenhagen 3/11 2019. 75 cl bottle from Vinspecialisten, Brogade, Køge. Bøgedals usual austere label design with the name in red and the rest in black in what looks like an old-fashioned typewriter. Quite detailed description of the ingredients.
High pressure in the bottle so the cork comes flying out at me when I try to remove it. Pours murky, slightly dirty amber with a humongous white head. Bubbly. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense, tart and acerbic. Sweet malts with hints of caramel. Acerbic unripe berries. Light citrus and orange.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a medium strong, tart bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light honey sweetness peeking in. Tart, semi-dry finish.
Rye beer from the tart and quite bitter side of the street.
