Served in straight pint glass. Poured a slightly cloudy light yellow, almost the color of some Wits I've seen, with about 1/4 inch of white head that had low retention and moderate lacing.
While fairly typical for the style, the beer had a sharp yeast spice over a nice grain scent. On the tongue, it was pretty similar, earthy base grains, sharp, spicy yeast and a bit of fruitiness at the back.
The body was perhaps just a bit on the thin side of the style, which is not known for it's fullness, but was bright on the palate and had a nicely dry finish. Drinkability was excellent, I would happily drink these all day long, but I love Saisons. Overall, a pretty solid take on the style. A good introduction for someone not familiar, and worth the time of even the most seasoned Saison drinkers.

On draught at their taphouse, served in a New Belgium goblet, Fleur D' Elise is straw yellow with a small white off-white head that leaves scattered lace.
Smell is good, classic saison esters, some tropical fruit mostly, a nice soft sweetness, but spice as well.
Taste is more firmly on the peppery side of the house, very phenolic, which makes it seem a bit hot, but there aren't any noticeable phenols.
Mouthfeel is bone dry, crisp, light bodied, a touch watery in spite of the crispness, but that certainly suits the style.
Drinkability is pretty good, although I wish the fruity esters on the nose showed up on the palate, whereas this one is more in the style of Saison Dupont.
