On tap at the brewpub today. Probably their best beer.
The pour is gorgeous, amber with a dense off-white head with exceptional retention and gorgeous lacework that coats the side of the glass. The nose is fantastic, a delicate blend of toasted malts, bready toast, a touch of caramel, delicate leafy hops with a touch of bitterness. Mildly fruity, this is pretty much all you could want from an ESB. The nose is replicated on the palate, with the medium body working really well with the combination of delicate hop and toasty malt. Mildly bitter on the finish with a delicate malt character, this is spot on. Carbonation is a little high, but that doesn't detract from the drinkability one bit. Great stuff
