Preamble: I was in Central City Brewery's liquor store the other day looking around and this guy asks myself and another customer if we've ever tried "Rockstar Lager" to which we both replied that we had not. He then offered to buy us each a six pack if we bought ourselves one. I took him up on the offer.
A: Pours a straw, piss yellow with a quick fizzy, shock white head that very quickly settles into into nothing and leaves zero lacing.
S: Very sweet grains and cooked veggies with nearly no hops or bitterness of any kind.
T: The smell reveals the taste but is even sweeter and with very, very minor hops... There are no offensive tastes here at all but also no character and zero complexity.
M: Medium carbonation off the top but by the end brew is nearly flat. Very smooth, maybe too smooth ... watery...
Drink-ability? The six pack was $11.99 but I got one for free so that makes this brew about a buck-a-can which is not a bad deal even if this beer is, well, boring to say the least.
I'm not sure who really brews this beer. The guy who bought me the six pack said it was the same company that brews 1897 Stanley Park Amber (which is Hell's Gate). He also told me that the brewery is using the Rockstar name under license and that Rockstar gets 50% of the profits.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
