Was able to get this on tap at Premier Gourmet. Hands down the best beer place in Buffalo.
Appearance: Beautiful Gold with a white head that just laces down the glass. Small amount of bubbles are floating up. It's a beautiful looking beer.
Smell: Hands down the best part of this beer. When they say this beer was aged in white wine barrels THEY MEAN IT. Rich, Fruity, literally everything that a Pinot Grigio and a Chardonnay brings to the table. On the back you get a nice yeasty saison smell with a small amount of lemon.
Taste: Up front is acidic, and then mellows out to a smooth richness very similar to the smell. It's very complex and I think every person would be able to describe a different experience.
Mouthfeel: A little thin, I wish it just had a touch more. Nothing to dissuade from the beer at all.
Overall: A really unique experience. I haven't had anything like this, and it's top notch and amazing.
