Served on tap at Lennie's. Color is a murky blood-orange, think of a blood tinted pale ale. Nose is all blueberry. Flavors much more balanced than the nose. Blueberry is present, but balanced nicely by hops, and paired very nicely with the pizza. I'm also not a big fan of fruit beers, but this one was done wonderfully. If you're a fan of pales, definitely give this one a shot. I really think it's more of a pale ale than a true "fruit beer." Irregardless, this is one "berry" hoppy ale... : )~

Based on BBC's competent Quarrymen Pale Ale, this is one of the better fruit beers I've had. Pours a hazy, dark orangish-yellow color with some active carbonation and a bit of sediment. Topped off with a decent amount of off-white head that laces pretty well. I could smell the blueberry from a couple feet away, and a closer sniff was dominated by blueberry with only hints of grain and hops. Fortunately, the taste was more balanced than the smell. Hops bitterness came and went but was present throughout--stronger once the slightly tart blueberry gave way to the sweetish malt base which itself faded to hops in the short but adequate finish. Mouthfeel was pretty clean, though a little watery. I don't want much of any fruit beer, but this one is surprisingly good for the style.
