Copenhagen 7/3 2020. 37,5 cl corked bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. La Trappe's usual label design in Quadrupels classic purple version.
Pours murky, amber brown with a lot of sediments whirling around. Small white head. Disappears almost completely. No lacing.
Aroma is potent, sweet and woody. Sugary, fermented dark fruit. Raisins and plums. Strong woody odor. Dark, sweet alcohol. Sugary. The cachaça peeking in.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, lightly tingling texture. A little sticky.
Flavor is intense and heavy sweet and sugary. Followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is very sweet with a light sour twist. Lingering. Boozy, sugary finish.
Probably the sweetest of the La Trappe Oak Aged batches that I have tased to date. The cachaça really makes a presence.
