From tap to taster at Rustico Arlington on 6/8/12
*From notes
A: Hazy golden in hue. A half finger head and white, sticky lacing tops the brew. A solid, reasonably dense collar rims the glass.
S: Refreshing and light. Sage is literally all over the bouquet. I'm also getting some mature and well balanced honey.
T: Lots of garden herbs up front. The mid showcases a touch of bitter root or drying hops. The finish is a bit lemony and a acidic.
M: Bubbly and light to medium bodied. Lots of complexity here, yet it's easy enough to put back. The carbonation is great.
O: I know Jason's on record as saying that he'll cut the sage in half on the next batch, but I can say that for my palate, this version is right on. I really dig the herbal notes here, as it adds a crisp, refreshing edge to the beer. Certainly worth checking out if you see it on tap.
