Copenhagen 8/8 2020. 33 cl can from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Yellow can with some sort of Cloud elemental swallowing oranges.

Pours unclear orange-ish yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin patches of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is intense with a sweet, candy-like odor mingling with gentle citric notes. Wine gums, white sugar and ice cream. Sweet mango and papaya. Oranges and lime.

Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a light bitter undercurrent. Semi-dry and bitter finish.

Quite sweet with quite subdued citric bitterness. Maybe the Cloud Elemental on the can ought to swallow Candy instead of oranges.

250ml pour at Craft Bier Bar Hamburg.

Smell is orange julius. Citrus and orange julius and vanilla. Pour is lightly hazy yellow with a smallish head. Taste is VANILLA and orange creme, barely escaping the "too sweet" label. Mouthfeel is creamy yet dry. Overall, it's good.

Pours a hazy yellow with thick, soft head.

Smell is sweet with notes of vanilla, cream, oranges and meringue. Very desserty.

Taste is equally sweet with the vanilla upfront again. Notes of violet, oranges and ice cream. Very mild bitterness.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft and well carbonated.

Overall, a fun beer, very dessrty, but maybe a hint too sweet.

On tap at Underdog, Dublin.
Hazy orange; tropical Solero; wafer then papaya + tangerine with a big whack of lactose; crisp + dry.

4 4 4 4 4

Yep, got fruit + milky smoothness. But not feeling in any way that this had proper hops depth to be called IP-whatever. Dumb + fun.

This one almost feels like it's not really an IPA. This actually at the opposite of what an IPA could be a few years ago. The vanilla is prohiminent, the mango is nice, some citrus notes are noted. Very silky from the lactose. Enjoyable.

Got this from the Duvel guy in Utrecht

From a can into a snifter
1 PANT
Double Dry Hopped Lactose IPA with mango, lime and vanilla

APPEARANCE: Pours a 1 finger, medium looking, creamy white head with great retention. Hay amber yellow in color with no real carbonation evident. Nice, lighter color on this one. Head slowly recedes to a faint wisp. Slight wisp remains leaving touches of lacing down the glass. Nice looking brew.

SMELL: Some pale malts and light caramel notes under lots of fruity hop aromas. Mango for sure, pineapple, melon notes, some lemon and lime citrus aromas, as well as some faint vanilla in there as well. Aromatic and interesting.

TASTE: Vanilla is in there up front with caramel notes and sweet cream. Some more vanilla at the swallow with a medium but lingering finish of sweet creamy vanilla, some caramel, touches of citrus fruit and a light hop bitterness. Not much in terms of the fruity hops and mango that the nose had advertised.

PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy enough but goes down a touch foamy, finishing slightly mouth-coating on the palate.

OVERALL: This is definitely a fun brew. Lots of interesting things going on, though I think it worked out better in the aroma than in the flavor, as the citrus and mango elements were kind of missed there. Still, the nose is nice on this one and the drinking experience is positive all around. Good stuff and glad to have tried it. If you see it, give it a try. Recommended.

Can. From Zombier. In Teku glass. Watching Black Mirror 1x02. Amazing combination of the frutality of a neipa with a smooth milky profile from the lactose and vanilla that makes it a blow of fresh air
